Esper Kallás

Founder and Chief Medical Officer

Esper Kallás is a Professor in the Department of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases in School of Medicine of the University of São Paulo, and Director of the Clinical Trials Unit at Clínicas Hospital of the University of Sao Paulo, the largest hospital in South America. Esper is one of Brazil's most renowned infectious disease specialists and he has 230 peer reviewed publications in top journals.
He is also a member of the Covid-19 Crisis Team at Clínicas Hospital of the University of São Paulo, with a central role in containing the pandemic in Brazil.
Esper received his Medical degree from the University of Itajuba, and a Ph.D. in Infectious Diseases from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). He was a resident at the University of Rochester (NY) medical school.
